Newlands Cross flyover to open on Thursday

The long awaited Newlands Cross flyover in Dublin will open to traffic on Thursday.

The Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe officially unveiled the new road this afternoon - but further testing will be carried out over the coming days.

The National Roads Authority says travel times for motorists using the N7 will be reduced by up to 30 minutes.

Minister Donohue says the project has been completed within budget - and well ahead of schedule.
