Ireland's largest power station has opened in Co Cork today.

Ireland's largest power station has opened in Co Cork today.

A total of 80 people are employed at the Aghada gas-fired station, near Midleton in the east of the county.

The ESB facility has the capacity to generate 963 megawatts of power and also ranks as one of the most efficient electricity generators in Europe.
