Six houses in a new social housing estate in Co Louth are set to be demolished today, because of pyrite.

Six houses in a new social housing estate in Co Louth are set to be demolished today, because of pyrite.

The homes in the Moneymore area of Drogheda are part of a 25-house development.

Tests on the remaining 19 homes are ongoing.

It has reported the estate is one of four sites in Leinster where tests are being carried out for pyrite.
