New group calls for more women in politics

At the count centre in Dublin's RDS this morning there are members of a new group that wants to get more women involved in politics.

'Women for Election' have said they have trained 180 out of the 455 female candidates running this weekend.

They say that there is a split emerging between the new parties on the left who are promoting female leaders through the ranks and the male-dominated right of centre.
