New garda radio system launched in Limerick
A new digital Garda radio communications system has gone live in Limerick for the first time.
The new system will allow gardaí to communicate with each other without the fear of eavesdropping.
The rollout of the system is taking place at Henry Street Garda Station.
It is hoped the new communications network will give gardaí stronger powers in their fight against organised gangland crime.
