Nationality signs and other slogans to be banned from taxis

Ads, slogans and tricolours are to be banned from taxis under new rules.

It is understood the National Transport Authority is cracking down on drivers who put ads on the outside of their cars or on roof signs.

Stickers that say "full-time" or "Irish taxi driver" signs will also be forbidden.

Cabbies have until the end of January to tell the NTA how they feel about the new proposals.
