National Lottery confirms winner of €66m has been in touch

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winner of the EuroMillions jackpot has been in touch.

The mystery winner still hasn't collected their €66m prize, but they still have 90 days to pick up their cheque.

The Lottery says it is not able to reveal where in Ireland the winning ticket was sold.

But Paula McEvoy of the National Lottery says they were thrilled to receive today's call.

"The holders of the winning ticket for that jackpot have been in touch with the National Lottery today and they received some preliminary advice around their win.

"So they've gone off to consider that and we're delighted they've been in touch."
