Nama advisors request that PAC not publish correspondence on Project Eagle

Advisors to Nama on the sale of its Northern Ireland loan portfolio are requesting that its advice is not published by the Public Accounts Committee.

Lazard has agreed that letters between itself and Nama on the sale of Project Eagle can be disclosed to the spending watchdog by Nama.

However, PAC chairperson Seán Fleming revealed this morning that there is a request for the information to remain confidential.

"We will deal with the information, we will obtain the information, but we won't be able to specifically, without Lazard's consent, publish any of it as part of our work," he said.

"So we can acknowledge it in our report... we'll be aware of the information, but they're asking for their correspondence not to be issued because it's confidential between themselves and Nama."
