Munster and Leinster to fare worst as heavy rain forecast

AA Roadwatch has said Healys Bridge in Cloghroe, Cork has reopened after a fallen tree that came down in last night's winds caused its closure earlier.

Heavy rain is forecast around the country this afternoon with the risk of thunder at times.

Munster and Leinster are expected to be hit worst.

Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather alert, which means those exposed to the elements need to be aware of some rough weather on the way.
