The advice is not to drive through water unless you are certain it's not too deep for your car.
Ronan Gilligan is with AA roadwatch.
"If it's not too deep for your car try and drive through the centre part of the road, the highest part - that's usually where the flood water is not as deep," said Ronan Gilligan of AA Roadwatch.
"Once you start driving through remember to keep your revs high and just keep on going until you reach the other side.
"Once you do reach the other side make sure to check your brakes before you continue - and if you do come across standing water and there's an oncoming car, allow the oncoming car to pass first."
