A 40-year-old man has died following a motorbike crash in Bray, Co Wicklow.

A 40-year-old man has died following a motorbike crash in Bray, Co Wicklow.

The crash happened shortly after 5.30pm at Calary.

The man died when his motorcycle collided with a tree on the main Kilmacanoge to Roundwood road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body removed to St Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown where a post mortem will take place.

A section of the road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic examination, local diversions are in place.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Bray Garda Station on 01-6665300, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
