Motorcyclist dies in Cork road accident
Gardaí are investigating a fatal road accident that has claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
The accident happened shortly after 2pm on the Lower Glanmire Road in Cork City.
The man was taken to Cork University Hospital but died a short time later.
The driver of the car, a woman, is being treated for shock.
The area where the accident happened is due to re-open following a technical examination and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
