The Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation has said more than 1,200 people have sought assistance from their new bankruptcy service which was launched in November.

The Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation has said more than 1,200 people have sought assistance from their new bankruptcy service which was launched in November.

The IMHO, in conjunction with the AIB Group, set up the initiative to offer homeowners in difficulty with their mortgage repayments the option to avail of an independent third-party facilitator.

The group says around 750 people have availed of the AIB project along with 500 other users.
