New charges have been brought against a Dublin man allegedly caught with a sword outside Leinster House.
Jordan Buckley of Kells Road, Crumlin is accused of being armed with a sword in the front yard of Leinster House on Apr 29.
On that date, it is alleged that he somehow made his way past the plinth with the blade at around 4.30pm, before being tackled by gardaí.
The house was not sitting that day, but TDs and members of the public were in the area.
The 19-year-old was originally charged with just one offence of possession of a weapon, but the DPP has since decided to bring three new charges.
They include trespassing with an offensive weapon, trespassing with intent to cause fear and resisting arrest.
The charges will be dealt with at District Court level and the unemployed teenager was remanded on bail to appear in court again on Oct 22.
He is due to enter a plea or seek a hearing on that date.
