Fine Gael's Gay Mitchell has said he has no worries over the leadership of Enda Kenny.

Fine Gael's Gay Mitchell has said he has no worries over the leadership of Enda Kenny.

The Dublin MEP said that George Lee failed his constituents when he resigned from the party and from his seat in the Dáil yesterday.

Enda Kenny has received the full backing of his front bench, despite claims of a potential challenge to his position.

Mr Mitchell said: "Enda Kenny is the man to lead the party into government after the next election."
