Minority government talks set to continue today amid second election speculation

Talks on the formation of a minority government are due to continue this morning.

Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil indicated yesterday that they were making progress in the talks.

Meanwhile, the acting Tánaiste Joan Burton has written Labour Party members to advise them that she is making preparations for a fresh election.

She also appears to have ruled out the idea of Labour re-joining Fine Gael in Government.
