Ministers accuses of conflicting Carty statements
23/06/2005 - 13:12:08The Labour Party has accused Justice Minister Michael McDowell and his predecessor, John O'Donoghue, of making conflicting statements over when they first received the Carty Report.
The report contained the findings of an internal garda investigation into alleged corruption in the Donegal division.
Labour leader Pat Rabbitte and TD Eamon Gilmore both attempted to raise the matter in the Dáil today, but the Ceann Comhairle refused to allow them to do so.
