Gardaí are appealling for anyone who was in the area of Mount Garrett Rise in Tyrellstown and who may have any information on the incident to contact them.

Minister White is also calling on the public to come forward and help the Garda investigation into the killing of the teenager.

"I want to say that I am fully supportive of the work that community leaders and gardaí are doing to promote intercultural integration in Tyrellstown and elsewhere," Minister White said.

"And I just hope that Toyosi's assailants swiftly face the justice they deserve.

"I call on anybody that may be able to help the gardaí's investigation to do so without delay."
