Minister and fishermen to discuss rising fuel costs

Minister for the Marine Pat 'the Cope' Gallagher is due to meet fishing industry representatives today to discuss the impact of rising fuel costs.

The matter is due to be raised at a meeting of EU fishing ministers later this month.

Mr Gallagher said he wanted to listen to the concerns of Irish fishermen ahead of the meeting to ensure that he can properly represent Ireland's position.
