Minister admits gaps in child-protection services

The Minister for Children has admitted there are gaps in child protection services around the country.

Barry Andrews says a lack of support for out-of-hours services, a lack of consistency and an absence of a monitoring process are the key issues in need of review.

He was speaking at the launch of the National Review of Compliance with Children Protection Guidelines.
