Lowry confirms coalition negotiations with FF
03/06/2007 - 17:23:28Independent TD Michael Lowry has accepted an invitation from the Taoiseach to negotiate about the formation of the next Government.
The former Fine Gael Minister has confirmed that he has held discussions with both Bertie Ahern and Enda Kenny.
In a statement issued this afternoon he said he does not envisage Mr Kenny having any realistic prospect of forming a Government.
The Tipperary-North deputy said he wanted to ensure the delivery of projects for his constituency.
He will not be making any further comment until shortly before the Dáil convenes on June 14.
