The Minister of State for Mental Health Kathleen Lynch, and comedian Alan Shortt are among the speakers at a mental health and wellbeing fair in Cork today.
The exhibition will feature information and workshops on ways to look after your emotional and mental wellbeing.
The free event is taking place at the Clarion Hotel on Lapps Quay from 11am to 4pm.
CEO of St Patrick's Mental Health Services Paul Gilligan, has said they are also launching an Adolescent Mental Health Service: “Irish teenagers, Irish adolescents are probably more like than their European counterparts to develop mental health difficulties.
“We know that under 13 one in three experience mental health difficulties while up to the age of 24 one in two.
“So the nature of adolescent difficulties is quite different, not least because if you can intervene at adolescence you prevent the likelihood of difficulties continuing into their adult lives or indeed arising again.”
