MCD boss Denis Desmond said that there will be "full, thorough" body searches at this weekend's series of concerts at Marlay Park in Dublin.
The policy of zero tolerance of anti-social behaviour follows criticism of security at last month's Swedish House Mafia gig in the Phoenix Park.
Nine people were stabbed at the gig and there were two deaths which may have been drug-related.
A Garda report into the Swedish House Mafia gig claimed that there were serious shortcomings in how security for the event was organised.
Mr Desmond said that there will be additional security measures at the Marlay Park concerts.
"Our security do a search in the manner permissible under the law," he said.
"So we do a quick body search, the frisk, and we put the wand up and down.
"We now have created areas with the police where there will be a full, thorough body search of people, and that, I think, will be a deterrent for that small percentage of people … who are intent [on committing violence]."
