Mayo stabbing: Teenager in serious, stable condition as three released

Gardaí investigating a stabbing incident in Co Mayo on Saturday night have released a third man without charge.

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed a number of times in the Railway Walk area of Westport at around 11pm.

He was taken to hospital, where he is now said to be in a serious but stable condition.

Three men, aged in their late teens, were initially arrested.

All have now been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the DPP.
