Massive crowds expected at Bloom festival

Around 100,000 people are expected to visit Bloom festival over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The gardening show takes place at Dublin’s Phoenix Park – with gates open at 9am tomorrow.

The event also features a food village, retail areas and a floral pavilion.

When asked what his favourite part of the festival is, Bloom show manager Gary Graham said: "The show gardens - absolutely has to be the gardens.

"We've 23 gardens this year, we have eight large gardens - we've never had so many, and they are stunning - and we have three international gardens, one from Chicago, one from China, and one from Chile."
