Masked men with iron bars attack Cork man asleep in his home
A 37-year-old man has been seriously injured after he was beaten up during a robbery at his home in Cork.
Three masked men armed with iron bars burst into his home in Curraheen early today and attacked him while he was asleep upstairs.
A number of other people who were also in the house at the time were not injured.
The man is being treated for his injuries at Cork University Hospital.
It is still unclear what the men took from the house.
