The body of a man has been recovered from the sea at Doolin in Co Clare.

Man's body found off Clare coast

The body of a man has been recovered from the sea at Doolin in Co Clare.

Members of the Doolin coastguard team spotted the man's body at around 8am today in an area known as Doonacore Bay.

Searches in the area have been ongoing since last Friday for a missing 64-year-old Dublin native.

The remains will be transferred to Ennis General Hospital for post mortem and formal identification.
