A man in his early 30s has been shot outside a Dublin creche.

A man in his early 30s has been shot outside a Dublin creche.

The man was wounded in the shooting outside the creche on Holywell Avenue in Donaghmede at around 9.10am this morning.

It is believed he was approached by a lone gunman who left the scene on foot.

He is in Beaumont Hospital and it is not known how serious his injuries are.

Gardaí have sealed off the scene for a technical examination and appealed for information from any witnesses.
