A man remains in a serious condition in hospital following a fatal crash in Co Sligo.

A woman in her 50s died in the collision on the N16 near Drumkinsellagh yesterday afternoon.

The woman was a passenger on a motorcycle when the vehichle and a car were in collision. The driver of the motorcycle is in a serious condition in hospital. He is also aged in his 50s.

The occupants of the car were uninjured.

The stretch of the N16 near Drumkinsellagh remains closed for a forensic examination.
