Man still in custody in Galway murder probe
18/07/2005 - 07:35:16A man in his 30s remains in garda custody today in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was found in a house in Co Galway over the weekend.
Thirty-five-year-old Catherine McEnery was found dead with head injuries in a bedroom of a thatched cottage near Craughwell early yesterday morning.
A blunt instrument is believed to have been removed from the scene and a post mortem is due to be carried out today to determine the exact cause of death.
Ms McInerney, a native of Feenagh in Co Limerick, had only moved to the Craughwell area with her partner a number of weeks ago having previously lived in Galway city.
