Man stabbed to death in Tipperary
19/12/2009 - 08:44:13A post mortem examination will be carried out later on the body of a man stabbed to death in Tipperary town yesterday.
The victim - a middle aged man - was sitting in his van outside a shop in Tipperary town centre at around 6pm yesterday evening when the attack happened.
He managed to drive the van a short distance before crashing at the junction on the nearby Bridge Street.
He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not yet known how many people were involved in the attack.
The scene was sealed off and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
A post mortem examination will be carried out at Waterford Regional Hospital later today.
