A 22-year-old man has been stabbed in Co Tipperary.

A 22-year-old man has been stabbed in Co Tipperary.

He was stabbed at the entrance road to Móin Na Cíbe in Thurles and he has been taken by ambulance to Clonmel Hospital.

The scene has been preserved for a technical and forensic examination.

A knife was recovered near to the scene by Gardai during follow up searches.

A man in his 30's has been arrested and is being held at Thurles Garda Station.

Gardaí have appealing for witnesses to contact the station in Thurles.
