A man who was detained in connection with a shooting incident in Dublin's Ballyfermot on Friday night has been released from custody.

A man in his 30s was shot in the leg as he drove his moped on the Cleggan Road.

His young daughter was with him at the time.

His injuries are described as non life-threatening.

The man who was arrested has been released without charge - and a file will be prepared for the DPP.
