Man killed in knife attack

A man in his early 30s was killed in a knife attack last night.

The victim was stabbed down a laneway off Beechfield Road, Walkinstown, Dublin, at around 9pm.

He was rushed to St James’ Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and an investigation launched.

“Any witnesses to this incident are asked to contact gardaí at Crumlin,” said a Garda spokesman.
