A man has been killed in an overnight shooting Dublin.

A man has been killed in an overnight shooting Dublin.

It happened at Kiltalown Road in Tallaght at around 10.30pm

Two men, aged 28 and 18 years respectively, were later arrested near the scene.

Gardaí were called to the scene of the shooting at Kiltalown Road where the 35-year-old man was gunned down.

He was rushed to Tallaght Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A car was also found burnt out nearby.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and a post mortem will be carried out later today.

The two arrested men are being held at Tallaght Garda Station.
