A man has died in a crash in Donegal, after his car collided with a pole.

A man has died in a crash in Donegal, after his car collided with a pole.

Gardaí in Milford are investigating the single vehicle crash at Currinsport off the R257 at about 9pm last night.

A 39-year-old man was fatally injured. He was the only occupant of the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Letterkenny General Hospital.

The road is closed for an examination by garda forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place.
