A man in his 70s has died in an farmyard accident in Tipperary.

Man killed after 4 X 4 falls on him in Tipperary farm accident

A man in his 70s has died in an farmyard accident in Tipperary.

He was working under a 4 X 4 vehicle yesterday when it fell on him at his home at Ballybrenogue in Cullen.

The alarm was raised shortly after 4pm, when the man was found by a neighbour.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford.

Gardaí in Tipperary town and the Health and Safety Authority are investigating.
