Man in sixties arrested after Rosslare drug seizure

A man in his sixties has been arrested after customs officers seized drugs worth over €500,000 at Rosslare Europort.

A man in his sixties has been arrested after customs officers seized drugs worth over €500,000 at Rosslare Europort.

About 30 kilos of cannabis was concealed in the tyres of a vehicle which was part of a container-load arriving into Rosslare on a ferry from France.

The drugs were discovered following a scan of the container by Revenue's mobile scanner.

The man is being questioned at Wexford Garda Station.
