Gardaí are continuing to question a man in his 50s in relation to the death of a woman in Dublin yesterday.

Gardaí are continuing to question a man in his 50s in relation to the death of a woman in Dublin yesterday.

The woman in her mid 60s, who has been named locally as Mary Dargan, died after she received gunshot injuries at her home in Killinarden in Tallaght.

Her daughter, who is in her mid 30s, was also injured and was taken to Tallaght hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injures.

A man who was arrested by gardaí yesterday was taken to hospital for treatment and is now being held by gardaí in Tallaght.
