A man in his 30s is fighting for his life after being shot.

Man in 'critical condition' after gun attack outside Dublin creche

A man in his 30s is fighting for his life after being shot.

The attack happened in the Donaghmede area of north Dublin when a lone gunman opened fire at about 9.10am.

It is understood the shooting took place in Holywell Avenue, near a creche.

The victim was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is understood to be in a critical condition.
