The man is appearing before a sitting of Dublin District Court charged with a number of alleged road traffic offences.

Last night shortly after 8pm, a man driving a stolen van failed to stop at a garda checkpoint in Ronanstown.

The van was abandoned in the south inner city area a short time later.

A male aged in his 20s was arrested at the scene, and was taken to Clondalkin Garda Station
