David Billings of St. Bridget’s Court in Drumlish, Co. Longford was also convicted of making false bomb threats during her trip.

His trial heard he warned gardaí that bombs had been planted on a bus travelling from Ballina to Dublin.

The Special Criminal Court is now hearing an application to have him remanded in custody ahead of his sentence hearing.
