A man has escaped injury after a shot was fired at a house in Derry.

A man has escaped injury after a shot was fired at a house in Derry.

The bullet struck the front door of the property in the Lincoln Court area at about 11.15pm last night.

The man, aged in his 40s, was in the house at the time.

It is believed that the man who fired the shot may have made off in the direction of the Brigade roundabout.

Detectives in Derry have appealed for anyone with information about the shooting incident to come forward.
