A man is due in court this morning over an assault in the Donnybrook area of Dublin at the weekend.

A man is due in court this morning over an assault in the Donnybrook area of Dublin at the weekend.

A 50-year-old man entered the local Garda station at about 10am on Saturday morning, with what's believed to have been stab wounds.

He was rushed to St Vincent's hospital by ambulance, and it is thought his injuries are not life threatening.

Gardai detained a man in his mid-40's for questioning later that the afternoon and he is due to appear at Dublin District Court this morning.
