A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning.

The charge is in relation to a stabbing incident in the Brittons Parade area of Belfast on Saturday night.

A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Detective Sergeant Michelle Griffin thanked the local community for their help during the investigation.

He also urged anyone with further information to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
