A 22-year-old man is due before the district court in Dublin this morning charged in connection with the fatal shooting of 41-year-old Edward O'Connor.
The incident happened at Ballycoolin Road, in Finglas last week.
Edward O' Connor was shot repeatedly in the back as he walked away from a fist fight in Finglas last Sunday.
According to reports in the Evening Herald, the fight had been arranged between two men, including Mr O'Connor's son to sort out a grievance between two families, following an incident in a pub in Finglas earlier that weekend.
The incident was allegedly part of an ongoing feud between the groups since last year.
Gardaí arrested a 22-year-old man and took him to Blanchardstown Garda station where he was questioned under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act under the anti-gangland legislative measure.
He is due to appear before the District Court at 10.30am this morning.
A second man and a woman arrested in relation to this investigation have been released without charge.
