Man due in court in connection with fatal stabbing in Cavan

A father of three is expected to appear in court this morning in connection with the death of a 32-year-old man in county Cavan last weekend.

A father of three is expected to appear in court this morning in connection with the death of a 32-year-old man in county Cavan last weekend.

Emmet Connolly was found with stab wounds at a house in Cootehill in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He had returned to Ireland just two weeks previously, having lived in Australia for a year and a half.

28-year-old Kevin Moran, who is from Dublin, but with an address at Lodge View in Cootehill, has been charged with murder and is due to appear at Cloverhill District Court this morning.
