A man is due in court this morning after a major drugs and firearms seizure in Dublin.

A man is due in court this morning after a major drugs and firearms seizure in Dublin.

Cannabis and ecstasy tablets worth up to €250,000 were found by officers in two houses in Tallaght on Saturday.

Five guns and ammunition were also recovered.

A 24-year-old man is expected to appear before Tallaght District Court today, while a 33-year-old woman will appear before a judge later this month.

Meanwhile, Gardaí in Kilkenny are continuing to question a 38-year-old man after more than €500,000 worth of cocaine was discovered in Paulstown.

The haul was uncovered by officers who stopped and searched a van in the area on Saturday evening.
