A 31-year-old man is due to appear in court this morning after a robbery at a filling station in Dublin yesterday evening.

A 31-year-old man is due to appear in court this morning after a robbery at a filling station in Dublin yesterday evening.

During the incident, a man threatened staff with a knife and demanded cash at the station on the Kilmore Road in Artane.

He fled on foot.

Gardaí arrested a suspect a short time later, when they also recovered a weapon and a quantity of cash.

He has now been charged and will appear before the District Court this morning.
