A man is due to appear in court in Co Louth shortly in connection with a shooting incident in Drogheda at the weekend.

A man is due to appear in court in Co Louth shortly in connection with a shooting incident in Drogheda at the weekend.

A 35-year-old man was hospitalised after he was shot in the leg at the Moneymore Estate in the town on Sunday.

A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and will appear in Drogheda District Court this evening.
